Why the Aptera Typ-1 Will Revolutionize What Electric Cars Should Do

So, there is this new Car that is making a lot of sparks, even though it will not be sold until the end of 2008. What is it? It’s the new Aperta Typ-1. This car not only has an incredibly unique design, but it also does some incredibly unique things.

Besides the Fact that this Car looks incredibly cool, here is what makes it unique, and sure to please those environmental saviors:

- The Typ-1 roof is designed to EXCEED rollover strength requirements spelled out in FMVSS (Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard)

216 for passenger cars. The doors also far EXCEED mandated strength requirements for passenger cars as does our 45" frontal impact deflection and crumple zone.

- The Typ-1 will achieve approximately 300 Miles per gallon operating as a Hybrid. The electric version will get 120 miles per $3 charge and plugs into a normal outlet.

- The Car will be price between $25,000 and $30,000

- Top speed of the vehicle will be 90 mph and it will be able to go from 0-60 in under 10 seconds.

The car will first be introduced in the state of California, and once they have time and financing in place to build dealerships and maintenance depots around the country it will be available around the nation.

Unlike the other electric and hybrid vehicles that have been developed in the past, the Aptera Typ-1 is convenient in price, design and specs. The Hybrid version will save the typical driver over $1900 per year on gasoline, and will cut the greenhouse gas production by over 80%.
